The Myth of “Golden Rule” Eyebrows Design via Face Measuring
If you, like many others, considering having your eyebrows tattooed/microbladed, the most important thing is to hire someone truly talented to do it! So how do you know who is talented and who isn't? Here is how. Do not trust anyone who design their customers' eyebrows by using an eyebrows measuring "Golden Ratio" rule or any other kind of facial measuring devise or mapping technique. The main two reasons why face measuring does not work are because our faces are not symmetrical and also because it does not take into consideration the light and eyebrows' optical illusion effect on the rest of the face. To test an optical illusion theory simply have someone else take your picture and then compare your mirror reflection with that photo...
Eyebrows should always be drawn and designed free-hand without any tools or mythological "Golden Ratio" rule. The eyebrows measuring "Golden Rule" is nothing more than just a marketing myth, a Utopian concept invented to sell an eyebrow products and services and to train makeup artists and permanent makeup technicians who have no talent, vision and, therefore, are unable to design their customers eyebrows free-hand.
During your initial consultation we will discuss different tattooing techniques, such as microblading, nanoblading, soft tap, combination (hybrid) technique, shadowing and Ombre technique. We will then determine which technique would work best with your skin type, which will help you achieve the best and longest lasting results.
Every permanent makeup technician has their favorite style. Lana's favorite style is classic, feminine and sophisticated = timeless and unaffected by short-lived hottest trends!
Lana's permanent makeup is very different from the work of other permanent makeup practitioners, because her primary goal is to correct customer's facial asymmetry and facial features which she does by re-positioning and re-designing client's eyebrows in the way that would visually correct their faces by creating an optical illusion of their eyebrow bone being different from what it actually is.
If you ask her how she does it, she probably wouldn't be able to explain, since she does not utilize any traditional facial measuring techniques. In fact, Lana does not believe in measuring faces when creating eyebrows, since people's faces are not symmetrical, therefore, measuring will always produce uneven and less than flattering results further negatively impacting client's facial symmetry by emphasizing all the negative aspects of their face, for example making their nose appear bigger and more uneven, making their eyes appear to be set closer and appear droopier and smaller.

Notice that almost every customer had a significant change in her or his original eyebrows shape and location and how now their new eyebrows perfectly match their facial features and shape of their face. Lana uses several tattooing techniques chosen based on her client's skin type, health status and desired outcome.
Some photos in this portfolio were taken immediately after the procedure and would show much darker and more solid looking eyebrows (not 3D yet), That happens when the powder fill technique is being used because what you see immediately after the procedure is just an external skin layer that absorbed the color and not an actual eyebrows tattoo yet.
After the external skin layer is done peeling, in 6 to 7 days, only then you will see an actual lighter and softer eyebrows tattoo color.
Try to keep in mind that in permanent and semi-permanent makeup what you see immediately after the procedure is not an actual result but just an external skin layer which absorbed some pigment that we were aiming to implant under it, into the middle skin layer, which can only be seen after the outer skin layer is completely peeled away.

Eyebrows tattoo - completely redesigned and reshaped eyebrows
The client did have eyebrows, unfortunately, her eyebrows were uneven and did not compliment client's face. So I did what nature didn't. I partially removed client's eyebrows in all the undesirable places and then I replaced it with my new eyebrows in all the desirable areas. If you look closely at all the other photos in my portfolios, you will notice that in most cases I redesigned, reshaped and moved clients' eyebrows..
These photos were taken immediately after the procedure, so the eyebrows don't yet look 3D however, they will look 3D when fully healed. This is what permanent makeup can do when it is planned well and is done right. It takes hours of planning, and drawing to create eyebrows that correct clients facial asymmetry and to make a significant improvement in client's overall appearance. It also takes every bit of my talent, vision and desire to make a difference in people's lives by correcting their faces by simply repositioning and redesigning their eyebrows. I can always picture the end result long before I start working with the client. I can clearly visualize their face and what it will look like when we are done. There is no formula, nor there is a secret. I just instinctively know how it should be and I can't really explain how and why I know it and why other permanent makeup technicians can't see what I see, based on all the eyebrows I repair after others...

Correction of facial asymmetry & droopy eye resulted from stroke (caused by stroke) without plastic surgery
A completely replaced, reshaped and redesigned left eyebrow positioned to match the right eyebrow and to create an illusion of facial symmetry and non-droopy left eye. The photo was taken immediately after the procedure, so eyebrows don't look 3D yet As you can see this client had a droopy left eye, which was very noticeable. The left eyebrow was much lower than the right eyebrow. To correct this problem I had to completely remove clients' left eyebrow hair in order to recreate a new higher eyebrow on the left side and to match it with the client's right eyebrow. It looks amazing!

After short negotiation with client and her negotiating committee(family members) we all came to mutual agreement that client's dark plum colored brow pencil (most likely it was a lip-liner turned into an eyebrows pencil) had to go! Although originally client wanted to recreate the color of her pencil (dark burgundy) she agreed to try my suggestion to go with light taupe color, which would totally compliment client's skin and hair color...It turned out simply beautiful!
